He was so relieved to be back home, socializing with family and friends, that all plans to study were forgotten. When he did try to revise, he found he did not have sufficient information and could not find suitable books to help. The result was that he failed several modules in his mid-sessional examinations. Ever pragmatic, Raj summed up his early experiences as follows: It was probably the worst start I could have hoped for. But, to be honest, I couldn’t realize what it was going to be like because I really hadn’t a clue what was involved in going to university.
